Oil is the absolute protagonist in the kitchen in food condiments, how can you do without it? And it is precisely because our body ingests a lot of it, it is important that the oil is not contaminated by pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Unfortunately, many pesticides are used in olive groves during the harvesting period, risking to find them on our plates! The alternative isorganic oil, in this case no chemicals are used to feed the plants, only natural substances.
Organic oil, the rules

Cultivation is done naturally without the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

During the production oforganic oil there are checks that are performed in three stages.
Periodic inspections are carried out on the ground with laboratory analyzes, to check that no chemicals are used. The inspectors will then issue the certification in the field to the producer. The controls move to the mill and finally to bottling.
L'organic oil has a higher cost than conventional oil since the rules ofbiological agriculture they require us to produce less. But not only! Manufacturers of organic oil they have to incur higher expenses: natural fertilizers and pesticides cost more and are less effective than those produced in the laboratory, consequently there will be less production of organic oil per hectare of land compared to a normal extra virgin olive oil.
It also went through three years of testing before being able to sell a for the first time organic oil and during that period there are higher costs to be incurred without being able to immediately reap the benefits.
