We talk about nocturnal disturbance because usually this involuntary chewing at night continues without the person concerned noticing, the same is true for those who stiffen the jaw without noticing and stay in a position of contraction for the whole night. Hours and hours, and upon awakening, imagine what pains.

It is a prolonged contracture of the chewing muscles that causes severe local pain. Often the trismus it is associated with a certain difficulty and can give rise to problems when it comes to eating and chewing but also just talking.
